Dr. Stephanie Reitz

Dr. Stephanie Reitz, DVM, CVMMP, CCRV, CVFT

Dr. Stephanie Reitz earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Longwood College and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Virginia–Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, she began her career in small animal and exotic medicine, practicing in Chesapeake and Virginia Beach, Virginia, before relocating to Maryland to continue similar work in Gaithersburg.

Dr. Reitz has pursued extensive advanced training through Chi University in Reddick, Florida, where she earned certifications in Medical Manipulation (CVMMP), Canine Rehabilitation (CCRV), and Veterinary Food Therapy (CVFT), a modality rooted in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. Following completion of her CCRV certification, she joined Skylos Sports Medicine. She is currently working toward her Canine Strength and Conditioning Coach certification and expanding her skills in musculoskeletal ultrasound.

With a strong passion for canine athletes, Dr. Reitz enjoys partnering with owners to help their sport dogs perform at their best. She also loves caring for senior pets and is dedicated to improving their comfort, mobility, and quality of life as they age.

Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Reitz is active in the agility community and competes with her two Border Collies. She and her wife live on a small farm in Middletown, where they share their home with their Border Collies, a Smooth Collie, and an East African Mud Turtle she has had since veterinary school. When she’s not training her dogs, Dr. Reitz enjoys hiking and spending time on the farm.
